Scholarly journals from Indiana University Press
The Journals Division of Indiana University Press was established in 1987 with three journals. Today, we publish 30 of the most important serials in the humanities and social sciences.
IUPJ is recognized internationally as a leading publisher of academic journals. We currently publish more than 80 issues a year on a broad range of subjects including African and African-American studies; anthropology; Caribbean studies; classical and ancient studies; cultural studies; environmental studies; film and media studies; folklore; gender studies; global studies; history; Jewish studies; legal studies; literary studies; Middle East studies; music education; natural sciences; philosophy; religious studies; technology; textual studies; and Victorian studies.
Our goal as publisher is to offer journals that will matter 20 or even 100 years from now with content that makes a difference today and that will live on into the future in the minds of teachers, scholars, students, and other interested readers.
As an academic, not-for-profit publisher, we serve the world of scholarship and culture. Our program is financed primarily by income from sales and is supplemented by subsidies from a variety of outside sources.
